Phase 1: Evaluations

All bariatric surgical candidates must have a nutritional and psychological evaluation completed. We have done more nutrition and psychological evaluations than any other provider in New Jersey. We know what the insurance companies want and can help you get through this process with the maximal chance for insurance company approval.

It goes without saying that performers, athletes, public speakers, and job seekers among others practice extensively before they perform. Bariatric surgery requires you to change how you eat and behave in order for the surgery to be successful. This Program gets you comfortable with the lifestyle changes you will need that make obtaining results after surgery a breeze.

This program can serve as a medically supervised counseling program mandated by many insurance companies but does not focus on pre-surgical weight loss per se. The program includes:

Phase 2: Practice Before You Play (4 Weeks)

  • Five (5) one-on-one sessions
    1. Two (2) one-on-one nutrition sessions
    2. Two (2) one-on-one sessions with a qualified behavioral counselor to help you work through the emotional aspects of bariatric surgery.
    3. One (1) one-on-one sessions with a Wellness Advisor
  • Purchase your monthly supply of vitamins, supplements, and protein and sign up for our autoship program so you don't run out.
  • Three (3) support group sessions
  • Comprehensive fitness assessment to measure how well your body moves, your stability and mobility, the capacity of your heart and lungs, and your balance and agility.
  • Personalized fitness program based on the results of your assessment.
  • Updates to your personal program every four weeks as needed to keep it new, fresh, and motivating
  • Access to our 10-day quick start fitness program to start you off easy but motivate you quickly.
  • 4-weeks of fitness in an environment that is fun, social, and supportive with access to a full schedule of group classes including Zumba!
  • Supervision at all times by an exercise physiologist
